Process development
Practically every new job starts with a feasibility study.
A feasibility study in turn usually requires a step by step process development.
Process development goes hand in hand with the feasibility study. There are two main aspects:
- clarifying whether a job is at all feasible using laser technology
and
- the commercially most rational process (degree of rationalization/degree of automation)
Practical experience has shown (and incidentally this is also fully in keeping with the ISO standards) that the individual development steps should best be compiled as a check list in the form of a table of typical laser machining aspects.
Do not hesitate to contact us to get a copy of the checklist either by e-mail or fax.
From this check list it is very easy to draw up a risk analysis.
The process development therefore begins with a risk analysis and ends with a verdict:
- Feasible
- Feasible with reservations
- Hands off!
The costs of process development are generally estimated by Lastec Ltd in a package offer, with Lastec and the customer each assuming 50% of the costs, insofar as this is justified by the expected order volume.
