A recipe for gourmets: "Real- 3D-high speed" laser cutting and welding
Now a reality, it has been put to work and is now implemented at LASTEC Ltd's micro processing plant:
Ingredients:
- Highly dynamic, laser-specifically designed, 5-axis machine fitted with linear motors.
- Siemens 840 D CNC
- Adequate laser source and external optics.
- Laser-specific 3D-programming system, featuring both, a powerful software and computer allowing all sorts of simulations.
- A profound laser processing specific know how.
Successful applications so far:
- Medical Implants
- Surgical Instruments
- Holes and penetrations into tubes and other hollow spaces, with a chamfer at the inside of the wall.
